Yinka Fabusuyi

Yinka is an Osteopath and Yoga teacher with over 30 years of clinical practice and 22 years of yoga teaching experience.

Yinka’s interest in supporting people towards pain free movement inspired her to train as a yoga teacher, completing her British Wheel of Yoga Diploma in 2000.  After 18 years of working as an osteopath in the NHS, Yinka began to work full time at her practice, Holmewood Osteopathic Practice which offers person centred, treatment and management of pain and restriction. As well as running a practice Yinka is also a senior practice educator and lecturer at the University College of Osteopathy (formerly The British School of Osteopathy). Yinka has developed and delivered a number of courses and workshops including day postgraduate courses at the University College of Osteopathy aimed at teaching osteopaths and MSK allied healthcare professionals how to use elements of yoga to manage low back and shoulder pain. Since the Covid-19 pandemic Yinka has been helping to develop a Wellness Clinic for the University as well as continuing to write and deliver training courses for osteopaths and yoga teachers. Yinka’s creative outlet is served by working at her allotment, and a new found love of drawing.

“I love going to Yoga Point and to Yinka’s Yoga classes. It is so rewarding to notice process, particularly as I have a few physical challenges with my knees and back. But I always feel fantastic afterwards in both body and soul. Yinka is so considerate and I think has a superb understanding of different bodies’ need and abilities. When needed Yinka gives options so everybody can participate, it’s a wonderfully accessible, inclusive and respectful class – something I personally feel very grateful over. Cannot recommend this place and Yinka enough. The premises are lovely, clean and well equipped too.”
